Dr Matt Agnew is a communications powerhouse that helps makes science, maths and technology fun and accessible for everyone.
With a PhD in Astrophysics and a background in the oil and gas industry,Matt has a breadth of technical knowledge spanning both academic research and engineering in mechanical and piping disciplines. He is also experienced in the field as a construction and facilities engineer.
Matt is currently engaged in big data analysis for a number of international blue chip consumer brands, combining science and artificial intelligence to transform the results organisations can achieve through the use of data.
In 2020 Matt decided to further add to his academic credentials and completed his Masters Degree in Artificial Intelligence.
Matt’s passion for Astrophysics is driven by his core goal to use numerical techniques to search for habitable worlds and solar system analogues. In other words – he is looking for an alternative to planet earth to secure the future of humanity.
He uses creative thinking to solve problems and to advance and evolve ideas.
Dr Matt’s first nonfiction book “Dr Matt’s Guide to Life In Space”(Allen &Unwind) will be published in November 2022.
Matt was born in Adelaide, raised in Perth and is now living in Melbourne.
